WHITBY rolls over KINGSTON, 4-0

WHITBY had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over KINGSTON.

WHITBY was led by Brooke McQuigge, who grabbed one goal. McQuigge scored 13:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 WHITBY. Katie Mikkelsen picked up the assist.

WHITBY excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. WHITBY's offense rang up 36 shots on KINGSTON's net.

WHITBY additionally got points from Maya Patel, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for WHITBY included Makayla Mori and Nikita Boardman, who each put in one. More assists for WHITBY came via Hailey Wilson, who had two and Alicia Pallister, Brooklyn Bastarache, and Emily Reid, who contributed one each.

KINGSTON stifled WHITBY's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. KINGSTON's offense was handcuffed by WHITBY's defensive play, and KINGSTON managed only nine shots on goal during the game.

WHITBY's Rachel McQuigge stopped nine shots out of the nine that she faced. WHITBY incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Whitney Morton recorded 32 saves for KINGSTON. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
