OAKVILLE tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but WHITBY would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2. WHITBY made the score 4-1 on a goal by Samantha Isbell at 7:34 in the third period, and OAKVILLE got as close as 4-2 when Sarah Fillier (PU) scored 14:21 into the third period. WHITBY was helped by Maya Patel, who finished with one goal and one assist. Patel scored 12:47 into the first period to make the score 2-0 WHITBY. Hailey Wilson picked up the assist. Alicia Pallister also scored for WHITBY. More assists for WHITBY came via Makayla Mori and Breanna Bedborough, who each chipped in one and Haley Edwards and Briana Colangelo, who contributed two each. OAKVILLE gave up more goals than its normal season average. OAKVILLE gives up 1.4 goal per game. OAKVILLE also got points from Meaghan Hector, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, OAKVILLE received assists from Kayla Fillier (PU), Kristen Jay, and Jessica Maggioni, who each chipped in one. Rachel McQuigge recorded 15 saves for WHITBY. WHITBY ended with no penalties and went 0-for-2 on the power play. OAKVILLE's Nikki Cece stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that she faced. OAKVILLE incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
