BARRIE survived a determined comeback attempt by KINGSTON on the way to a 2-1 win. A goal by Kara Washer (A) put BARRIE up 2-0 in the third period, but KINGSTON pulled to within one on Abby deHaan's tally 19:52 into the third period. BARRIE was paced by Washer (A), who grabbed one goal. Washer (A) scored 14:31 into the third period to make the score 2-0 BARRIE. Danika Phillips (C) provided the assist. Kennedy Roy also scored for BARRIE. In addition, BARRIE received assists from Avery Reeves (A) and Alex Frigon, who contributed one each. KINGSTON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow BARRIE to score on any of its three power plays. More assists for KINGSTON came via Lindsay Reid and Shelby Sly, who each chipped in one. Briar Hughes made 18 saves for BARRIE on 19 shots. BARRIE incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Whitney Morton rejected 26 shots on goal for KINGSTON. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
