In a game where neither team could get a cushion, BURLINGTON escaped with a 3-2 victory over AURORA. BURLINGTON gained the winning advantage on a goal by Aimee Raithby 17:35 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. AURORA's power play was ineffective against BURLINGTON's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. BURLINGTON was sparked by Raithby, who tallied one goal. BURLINGTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. BURLINGTON additionally got points from Jade Mancini, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Olivia White also scored for BURLINGTON. More assists for BURLINGTON came via Kiana Tobia, who had two and Kate Randazzo (A), Sydney Davison, and Jamie Watson (C), who each chipped in one. AURORA's offense rang up 31 shots on BURLINGTON's net. AURORA was helped by Hannah Daniels, who had one goal. Daniels scored 7:11 into the second period to make the score 2-1 AURORA. BURLINGTON incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. AURORA's Jenna Alessandrini stopped 13 shots out of the 16 that she faced. AURORA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
