CAMBRIDGE downs LONDON in overtime, 2-1 (OT)London Sports Park Sat, Dec 19, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Annie Berg gave CAMBRIDGE a 2-1 (OT) victory over LONDON when she scored 2:03 into the extra period. CAMBRIDGE was led by goalie Caitlin Kroetsch, who finished with 28 saves while allowing one goal. Kroetsch certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 1.66 entering the contest. CAMBRIDGE's penalty kill excelled, as CAMBRIDGE gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. CAMBRIDGE stifled LONDON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. CAMBRIDGE could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. CAMBRIDGE also got a goal from Alyssa Chiarello (A) as well. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Morgan Rolph (A) and Meghan Anton, who each chipped in one. LONDON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five CAMBRIDGE power plays. LONDON was led by Emily Bowman, who scored the team's only goal. Bowman scored 13:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LONDON. Sydnee Baker assisted on the tally. Lauren Dubie made 24 saves for LONDON on 26 shots. LONDON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
