OAKVILLE beats BRAMPTON 2-1 after comeback scare

BRAMPTON tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but OAKVILLE would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1.

A goal by Sarah Fillier (PU) put OAKVILLE up 2-0 in the second period, but BRAMPTON pulled to within one on Jada Christian (PU)'s tally 12:31 into the third period.

OAKVILLE was led by Fillier (PU), who grabbed one goal and one assist. Fillier (PU) scored 13:29 into the second period to make the score 2-0 OAKVILLE. Meaghan Hector assisted on the tally.

Kayla Fillier (PU) also scored for OAKVILLE.

BRAMPTON managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. BRAMPTON wound up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. BRAMPTON found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against OAKVILLE's defense.

Daniela Paniccia rejected 13 shots on goal for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of one power plays. Allison Small made 27 saves for BRAMPTON on 29 shots. BRAMPTON registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
