OTTAWA and KINGSTON skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

OTTAWA found itself down againt KINGSTON, but battled back to secure to a 3-3 (OT) tie.

OTTAWA kept KINGSTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kathryn Jalink made 35 saves on 38 shots.

OTTAWA was helped by Coralie Larose, who registered one goal. Larose scored 13:51 into the third period to make the score 3-2 KINGSTON. Maddison Stitt assisted on the tally. OTTAWA additionally got points from Katherine Chadwick, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Sydney Lyndon also scored for OTTAWA. Other players who recorded assists for OTTAWA were Maggie Knott, Sophie Rodenburg, and Chantal Gudbranson, who each chipped in one.

KINGSTON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow OTTAWA to score on any of its four power plays. KINGSTON bested its season scoring average. KINGSTON has scored at the pace of 0.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

KINGSTON was led by Sidonie Chard, who had one goal and one assist. Chard scored 13:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 KINGSTON. Abby deHaan picked up the assist. Others who scored for KINGSTON included Lindsay Reid and Brianna Gaffney (C), who each put in one. In addition, KINGSTON received assists from Deena Birney (A) and Sara Cannons, who contributed one each.

OTTAWA's Jennifer Walker stopped 18 shots out of the 21 that she faced. OTTAWA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. KINGSTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
