BRAMPTON falls apart in second, loses to BURLINGTON, 5-1

BRAMPTON was within striking distance after one period, but BURLINGTON put the pedal down in the second en route to a 5-1 victory.

BURLINGTON was led by Rachel Armstrong (A), who racked up one goal and one assist. Armstrong (A) scored 6:14 into the second period to make the score 2-0 BURLINGTON. Sydney Davison assisted on the tally.

BURLINGTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. BURLINGTON surpassed its usual scoring output this season. BURLINGTON averages 2.0 goals per game.

BURLINGTON also got points from Robin Ketcheson, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for BURLINGTON included Taylor Davison, Alexandra Doyle, and Jade Mancini, who each put in one. In addition, BURLINGTON received assists from Ashley Money (A), Megan Laviolette, and Trisha Cho, who each chipped in one.

BRAMPTON's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. BRAMPTON averages 2.4 goals allowed per game.

Nadia Rupoli rejected 23 shots on goal for BURLINGTON. BURLINGTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. BRAMPTON's starting goalie, Sophia Akhavan-Zanjani, made 14 saves and finished with the loss before she was taken out in favor of Allison Small, who stopped seven shots. BRAMPTON incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
