WHITBY pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over LEASIDE on a clutch goal by Samantha Isbell.

Isbell had a great game for WHITBY, netting two goals. Isbell found the back of the net 12:00 into the third period to make the score 1-0 WHITBY and again while 1:30 into the fourth to make the score 2-1 WHITBY.

LEASIDE was stymied by WHITBY's netminder Rachel McQuigge, who stopped 25 shots during the victory. McQuigge managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 1.19 prior to the game.

WHITBY's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six LEASIDE power plays.

In addition, WHITBY received assists from Victoria Howran, Briana Colangelo, and Brooke McQuigge, who each chipped in one.

LEASIDE was led by Mariah Hinds, who scored the team's only goal. Hinds scored 16:34 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Siobhan Birch picked up the assist.

WHITBY totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. Danielle Toland rejected 25 shots on goal for LEASIDE. LEASIDE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
