KINGSTON tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but WHITBY would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1. WHITBY made the score 3-0 on a goal by Maya Patel at 10:30 in the second period, and KINGSTON got as close as 3-1 when Brianna Gaffney (C) scored 6:35 into the third period. WHITBY was sparked by Samantha Isbell, who finished with one goal. Isbell scored 9:18 into the second period to make the score 2-0 WHITBY. Briana Colangelo provided the assist. WHITBY put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow KINGSTON to score on any of its five power plays. WHITBY also got a goal from Alicia Pallister as well. More assists for WHITBY came via Breanna Bedborough, who had one and Katie Mikkelsen, who had two. KINGSTON found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere nine shots against WHITBY's defense. In addition, KINGSTON received assists from Marissa Murphy and Sidonie Chard, who contributed one each. Emma Schram recorded eight saves for WHITBY. WHITBY incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. KINGSTON's Whitney Morton stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that she faced. KINGSTON incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
