BURLINGTON rips AURORA, 5-1

BURLINGTON had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over AURORA.

BURLINGTON got the win thanks to a great game by Taylor Davison, who had two goals and one assist. Davison scored the first of her two goals at 13:33 into the first period to make the score 2-0 BURLINGTON. Sydney Davison picked up the assist. Davison's next tally made the score 5-1 BURLINGTON with two seconds left in the third period. Ashley Money (A) provided the assist.

BURLINGTON stifled AURORA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. BURLINGTON found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, BURLINGTON averages 2.0 goals per contest. BURLINGTON's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

BURLINGTON also got points from Money (A), who also had one goal and one assist and Davison, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Kiana Tobia also scored for BURLINGTON. More assists for BURLINGTON came via Aimee Raithby and Jade Mancini, who contributed one each.

AURORA was led by Madison Heeney, who scored the team's only goal. Heeney scored 4:10 into the second period to make the score 2-1 BURLINGTON. Mia Rogers picked up the assist.

Nadia Rupoli made 16 saves for BURLINGTON on 17 shots. BURLINGTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jenna Alessandrini recorded 25 saves for AURORA. AURORA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
