Van Pelt nets hat trick, leads TORONTO to 3-0 win over KINGSTON

Neve Van Pelt netted a hat trick to lead TORONTO over KINGSTON, 3-0.

Van Pelt notched her first tally 12:34 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:54 into the second and at 19:14 into the third.

TORONTO's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three KINGSTON power plays. TORONTO's offense rang up 33 shots on KINGSTON's net.

In addition, TORONTO received assists from Camryn Tait, who had two and Natalie Pantaleo (PU), Claudia Black, Gillian Thompson (PU), and Courtney Correia (PU), who contributed one each.

KINGSTON managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. KINGSTON finished below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.

Kayla Wormsbecher made 19 saves for TORONTO on 19 shots. TORONTO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. KINGSTON's Whitney Morton stopped 30 shots out of the 32 that she faced.
