CAMBRIDGE downs BARRIE, 4-1

Brooke Schroeder registered one point to lead CAMBRIDGE to a 4-1 victory over BARRIE.

CAMBRIDGE stifled BARRIE's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

CAMBRIDGE also got points from Abby Lafreniere, who also finished with one goal and one assist. CAMBRIDGE also got a goal from Emily Woodhouse as well. More assists for CAMBRIDGE came via Carly AuCoin, who had two and Taylor Trussler (PU), Nicole Zabel, and Meghan Anton, who each chipped in one.

BARRIE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CAMBRIDGE to score on any of its six power plays. BARRIE was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 16 penalty minutes.

BARRIE was led by Jillian Banks, who scored the team's only goal. Banks scored 8:48 into the third period to make the score 3-1 CAMBRIDGE. Hope Mitchell picked up the assist.

Caitlin Kroetsch rejected 18 shots on goal for CAMBRIDGE. CAMBRIDGE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Briar Hughes recorded 19 saves for BARRIE. BARRIE registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
