NEPEAN outlasts WATERLOO, 3-2

NEPEAN and WATERLOO were evenly matched throughout their contest, but NEPEAN made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Amy Graham's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

NEPEAN was paced by Graham, who had one goal. Graham scored 19:35 into the third period to make the score 3-2 NEPEAN. Shelby Calof provided the assist.

NEPEAN put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow WATERLOO to score on any of its three power plays.

Others who scored for NEPEAN included Samantha Bouley and Cassidy Michalicka, who scored one goal each. More assists for NEPEAN came via Helen Markovic, who had two and Kristy Pidgeon, Katie Rankin, and Tristyn Svetek, who contributed one each.

WATERLOO was helped by Lexi Templeman, who racked up one goal. Templeman scored 13:38 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Sarah Rettinger picked up the assist. Brooklyn Cole also scored for WATERLOO. In addition, WATERLOO received assists from Kelsey Dixon and Sammy Burbridge, who each chipped in one.

Celine Tessier rejected 14 shots on goal for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Cohen Myers recorded 19 saves for WATERLOO. WATERLOO incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
