Dominico's big game bests AURORA in 6-0 DURHAM WEST win

DURHAM WEST's Maria Dominico had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in her team's 6-0 win over AURORA.

Dominico scored at 2:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 DURHAM WEST and again while 6:09 into the first to make the score 2-0 DURHAM WEST.

DURHAM WEST excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. DURHAM WEST found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, DURHAM WEST averages 3.1 goals per contest.

DURHAM WEST also got points from Taylor Hicks, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Alexandra Maw, who also had one goal and two assists. DURHAM WEST also got a goal from Natalie Wozney as well. In addition, DURHAM WEST received assists from Jaden Head, who had three and Nicole Remedios and Terri-Lynn Burke (PU), who each chipped in one.

AURORA's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. AURORA gives up 2.5 goals per game.

DURHAM WEST's Danika Ranger stopped 17 shots out of the 17 that she faced. DURHAM WEST incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jenna Alessandrini took the loss and made seven saves before being replaced by Frances Tenney who made 15 saves. AURORA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
