NEPEAN trailed LEASIDE by three in the second period, but LEASIDE did not give up and the game ended in a 3-3 (OT) tie. NEPEAN managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. NEPEAN finished below its season average of 4.0 penalty minutes per game. NEPEAN's offense rang up 33 shots on LEASIDE's net. NEPEAN was led by Blake Orosz, who registered two goals. Orosz scored the first of her two goals at 18:56 into the third period to make the score 3-2 LEASIDE. Kristy Pidgeon provided the assist. Orosz's next tally made the score 3-3 with two seconds left in the third period. Pidgeon assisted on the tally. Samantha Bouley also scored for NEPEAN. Other players who recorded assists for NEPEAN were Helen Markovic and Tristyn Svetek, who each chipped in one. LEASIDE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow NEPEAN to score on any of its seven power plays. LEASIDE could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. LEASIDE was helped by Cynthia Cavanagh, who had one goal. Cavanagh scored 10:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LEASIDE. Megan Pardy picked up the assist. LEASIDE also got a goal from Caitlin Heale as well. In addition, LEASIDE received assists from Emma Pye, who had two and Brooklyn Sarnovsky, Siobhan Birch, and Olivia Reid, who contributed one each. NEPEAN's Amanda Hadwen stopped 17 shots out of the 20 that she faced. Danielle Toland made 30 saves for LEASIDE on 33 shots. LEASIDE registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
