SOUTHWEST survived a determined comeback attempt by CAMBRIDGE on the way to a 3-2 win. A goal by Sofia Smithson put SOUTHWEST up 3-1 in the second period, but CAMBRIDGE pulled to within one on Natasha Costello's tally 3:19 into the third period. SOUTHWEST was led by Smithson, who racked up one goal. Smithson scored 10:50 into the second period to make the score 3-1 SOUTHWEST. Halle Crane provided the assist. SOUTHWEST managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. SOUTHWEST wound up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.
