NEPEAN survived a determined comeback attempt by DURHAM WEST on the way to a 2-1 win.

NEPEAN made the score 2-0 on a goal by Blake Orosz at 17:38 in the third period, and DURHAM WEST got as close as 2-1 when Samantha McKenzie (C) scored 18:16 into the third period.

DURHAM WEST was stymied by NEPEAN's netminder Amanda Hadwen, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. Hadwen certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 2.68 entering the contest.

NEPEAN managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. NEPEAN finished below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game.
