MISSISSAUGA had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over BURLINGTON. Mikyla Grant Mentis had two goals to lead MISSISSAUGA to victory. Grant Mentis scored at 7:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA and again while 9:38 into the third to make the score 3-0 MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA stifled BURLINGTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. MISSISSAUGA also got points from Lindsay Agnew (C), who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Daryl Watts, who had two and Stephanie Gava and Brooke Bonsteel (A), who each chipped in one. BURLINGTON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three MISSISSAUGA power plays. Carmen Lasis made 21 saves for MISSISSAUGA on 21 shots. MISSISSAUGA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. BURLINGTON's Dagny Hudspeth stopped 17 shots out of the 20 that she faced. BURLINGTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
