The Miami University RedHawks had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over the Ohio State University Buckeyes.

Miami University was led by Ellen Chiligiris, who registered one goal. Chiligiris scored 7:19 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Miami University. Michaela Goguen assisted on the tally.

The RedHawks managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Miami University's defense shut down the Buckeyes' forwards for much of the game, and Ohio State University got off only eight shots during the contest.
