M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania beats M1 Slippery Rock University 8-6 after comeback scare

The M1 Slippery Rock University Pride tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 8-6.

M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania made the score 8-5 on a goal by Joakim Karlsson at 19:05 in the third period, and M1 Slippery Rock University got as close as 8-6 when Joshua Scott scored 19:47 into the third period.

The Crimson Hawks surpassed their usual scoring output this season. M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania has scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign. By firing 38 shots on goal, the Crimson Hawks exceeded the 1.4 shot they average per game this year.
