Brockville Midget AAA penalty kill dominates in 4-1 defeat of Cornwall Midget AAA

The Brockville Midget AAA Braves' penalty kill was superb, as Brockville Midget AAA survived multiple penalties to beat the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts, 4-1.

The Braves were led by Jacob Shankar, who registered one goal. Shankar scored short handed 14:10 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Brockville Midget AAA. Brockville Midget AAA played down a man on Griffin Patterson's hooking.

The Braves excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Brockville Midget AAA surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Braves average 1.8 goal per game.

Brockville Midget AAA additionally got points from Cameron Hebert, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Adam VanEttinger also scored for Brockville Midget AAA. More assists for Brockville Midget AAA came via Brett Lannin, Gary Hicks, and Mark Morrison, who each chipped in one.

Cornwall Midget AAA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Brockville Midget AAA power plays. The Colts were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 14 penalty minutes.

Cornwall Midget AAA was led by Samuel Ferland, who scored the team's only goal. Ferland scored 2:42 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Brockville Midget AAA. Noah Konink assisted on the tally.

Ryan Green recorded 19 saves for Brockville Midget AAA. The Braves incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Grant Craig rejected 24 shots on goal for the Colts.
