A hat trick by Dean Bucciarelli was the highlight in 73s' 5-3 win against the Nepean Midget AAA Raiders. Bucciarelli got on the scoresheet 2:46 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:34 into the second and at 5:46 into the third.The Kemptville Midget AAA 73s excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Kemptville Midget AAA also got a goal from Mike Armstrong as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville Midget AAA were Owen Scott, Ryan Pawlikowski, and Jack Walsh, who each chipped in one. Nepean Midget AAA was helped by Ethan Rendell-Watson, who grabbed one goal. Rendell-Watson scored 9:08 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Aidan Harris picked up the assist. Others who scored for Nepean Midget AAA included Lukash Matthews and Paul Larabie, who each put in one. In addition, Nepean Midget AAA received assists from Jeremy Boucher and Geoff Dempster, who contributed one each. Nick Bond recorded 24 saves for Kemptville Midget AAA. The 73s incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Marshall Frappier made 16 saves for the Raiders on 20 shots. Nepean Midget AAA incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
