M1 Syracuse University's LaPointe deadly on offense in 6-3 win against M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo

John Ross LaPointe had two goals to lead the M1 Syracuse University Orange to a 6-3 victory over the M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo Tigers.

LaPointe found the back of the net on the power play 16:26 into the second period to make the score 4-2 M1 Syracuse University and again while 19:30 into the second to make the score 5-3 M1 Syracuse University.

M1 Syracuse University kept M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo's goalie busy throughout the game, and Gavin Lewis made 51 saves on 57 shots. The Orange's goal total was higher than their season average. This season, M1 Syracuse University averages 3.1 goals per contest.

M1 Syracuse University also got points from Brendan Flanagan, who also had one goal and one assist, Connor Rotenberg, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Nolan Metzler, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. M1 Syracuse University also got a goal from Connor McNamara as well. In addition, M1 Syracuse University received assists from Thomas DiPasquale, who had two and Patrick Corcoran, Adam Ganley, and William Franzese, who each chipped in one.

M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo was helped by Jake Wexler, who tallied one goal. Wexler scored 2:35 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Syracuse University. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo were Phillip Scheible, Tyler Devore, Nicholas Washco, and Daniel Miller, who contributed one each.
