M1 Rochester College holds on for 4-2 win against M1 John Carroll University

The M1 Rochester College Warriors survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 John Carroll University Blue Streaks on the way to a 4-2 win.

M1 Rochester College made the score 4-0 on a goal by Joey Giordano at 14:11 in the second period, and M1 John Carroll University got as close as 4-2 when Jak Karls scored 10:39 into the third period.

The Warriors' offense rang up 39 shots on the Blue Streaks' net.

M1 Rochester College was helped by Shawn Adam, who registered one goal. Adam scored 3:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Rochester College. Brock Malatches provided the assist. M1 Rochester College additionally got points from Ryan Jaros, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Dakota Olvin, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, M1 Rochester College received assists from Matt Kadolph, who had two and Brandon Mezuk and Michael DiFranco, who contributed one each.

M1 John Carroll University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 27 shots on goal during the game, better than the 1.7 shot per game it averages.

Kevin Vinyard also scored for M1 John Carroll University. More assists for M1 John Carroll University came via Tyler Potts, Cullen McMahon, Joe Mancuso, and Brad Harcourt, who each chipped in one.

Brenden Kruckenberg made 25 saves for the Warriors on 27 shots. M1 Rochester College incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Dustin Stevens recorded 35 saves for the Blue Streaks. M1 John Carroll University incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
