M1 Rutgers University wins tough contest against M1 Rhode Island ^ University of, 4-2

The game between the M1 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights and the M1 Rhode Island ^ University of Rams was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end M1 Rutgers University emerged with a 4-2 win.

The Scarlet Knights gained the winning advantage on a goal by CJ Maksut 6:11 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Maksut was all over the ice for M1 Rutgers University, as he racked up two goals in the win.

By firing 34 shots on goal, the Scarlet Knights exceeded the 5.2 shots they average per game this year. M1 Rutgers University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Rutgers University also had goals scored by Andrew Yasenchock and Wesley Austin, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Rutgers University received assists from Brian Gnad, Jake Pyhel, Kevin Fitch, Brenden Siegel, Tyler Rule, and Rob Bolinder, who each chipped in one.
