Brian Gnad grabbed two points to lead the M1 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights to a 5-2 victory over the M1 Duquesne University Dukes.

M1 Rutgers University racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. The Scarlet Knights surpassed its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. M1 Rutgers University stifled M1 Duquesne University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. With 29 shots on target during the contest, the Scarlet Knights exceeded the 1.9 shot they average per game this year.

M1 Rutgers University additionally got points from CJ Maksut, who also tallied one goal and one assist. M1 Rutgers University also had goals scored by Andrew Yasenchock, Cody Berquist, and Mitch Crenshaw, who scored one goal each. Christopher Marsillo made 16 saves for M1 Rutgers University on 18 shots. Team's Brandon Cho and Bolinder were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Alexander Taylor rejected 24 shots on goal for M1 Duquesne University. The Dukes registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
