M1 Stony Brook University takes care of M1 Rutgers University early, wins 8-0

The M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to an 8-0 win over the M1 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights.

M1 Stony Brook University was boosted by Todd Scarola, who turned in a shutout with 26 saves. Scarola certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.91 entering the contest.

The Seawolves were led by Tyler Underhill, who finished with one goal. Underhill scored 3:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Stony Brook University. JT Hall picked up the assist.

M1 Stony Brook University stifled M1 Rutgers University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Seawolves' defense was surprisingly good.
