In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights escaped with a 4-2 victory over the M1 Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Kevin Crehan's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

M1 Rutgers University got the win on the strength of a great game by Brian Gnad, who had one goal and two assists. Gnad scored short handed 11:28 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M1 Rutgers University. The Scarlet Knights found themselves down a man on Tyler Rule's roughing.
