David Jacobson recorded a shutout against Mississippi RiverKings as the Peoria Rivermen picked up a 2-0 win.

Peoria was led by Cody Dion, who registered one goal. Dion scored on the power play 14:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. The Rivermen had gained a power play chance when Sam Higgins was whistled for throwing equipment. Steve Morra provided the assist.

Peoria's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Mississippi RiverKings power plays. The Rivermen's defense was surprisingly good. Peoria allows 2.3 goals per game. With 34 shots on target during the contest, the Rivermen exceeded the 24.1 shots they average per game this year.

Alec Hagaman also scored for Peoria. More assists for Peoria came via Dave Pszenyczny, who had one.
