Shawn Skelly netted a hat trick to lead Macon Mayhem over the Huntsville Havoc, 4-2. Skelly's first goal came 16:14 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:29 into the second and at 18:36 into the third.The 37 shots that Macon Mayhem put on net surpassed Macon Mayhem's average of 22.2 shots per game this season. Macon Mayhem also got a goal from Zach Josepher as well. In addition, Macon Mayhem received assists from Curtis Megginson, Ryan Michel, Stephen Pierog, Travis Howe, Mark Rivera, Nick Grasso, Daniel Gentzler, and Jake Trask, who each chipped in one. Huntsville put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 21.7 it averages per game. The Havoc found themselves short handed often, totaling 21 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays. Huntsville was led by Jeff Jones, who finished with one goal and one assist. Jones scored on the power play 13:35 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Macon Mayhem. The Havoc earned a power play opportunity when Trask was put in the box for too many men. Jason Popek assisted on the tally. Dylan Nowakowski also scored for Huntsville. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Scott Henegar and Nolan Kaiser, who contributed one each. Garrett Bartus made 25 saves for Macon Mayhem on 27 shots. Macon Mayhem ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. Huntsville's Ryan de Melo stopped 33 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Havoc registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
