Mississippi RiverKings vanquishes Pensacola in shootout, 4-3 (3-2 SO)

Cullen Bradshaw scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and Mississippi RiverKings picked up the extra point in a 4-3 (3-2 SO) win over the Pensacola Ice Flyers.

The two teams needed 12 turns to complete the shootout. Pensacola's shootout goals were scored by Joseph Holka and Corey Banfield. In addition to the clincher, Mississippi RiverKings got shootout goals from Bradshaw and Matt Harrington.

Mississippi RiverKings came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Mississippi RiverKings trailed 3-1 after a goal by the Ice Flyers' Charlie Adams at 3:43 in the third period. Mississippi RiverKings knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Linden Bahm at 19:37 in the third period.

Bradshaw was all over the ice for Mississippi RiverKings, as he tallied one goal and one assist in the win. Bradshaw scored 14:43 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Bahm provided the assist.

Mississippi RiverKings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Mississippi RiverKings put 44 shots on net during the contest, more than the 24.9 it averages per game.

Mississippi RiverKings was led by Bradshaw, who registered one goal and one assist. Mississippi RiverKings also got points from Bahm, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Mississippi RiverKings also got a goal from Ryan Marcuz as well. In addition, Mississippi RiverKings received assists from Bret Peppler, Mike Grace, and Todd Hosmer, who each chipped in one.

Pensacola relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Adam Pawlick, Joe Caveney and Holka took 17 of the team's 33 shots.

Other players who recorded assists for Pensacola were Stephen Buco, who had two and Banfield and Brandon Blair, who contributed one each.

Peter Di Salvo made 30 saves for Mississippi RiverKings on 33 shots. Mississippi RiverKings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. John McLean rejected 40 shots on goal for the Ice Flyers. Pensacola incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
