David Jacobson recorded a shutout against the Pensacola Ice Flyers as the Peoria Rivermen picked up a 3-0 win.

Peoria was led by Adam Stuart, who grabbed one goal. Stuart scored on the power play 2:20 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. A tripping penalty on Charlie Adams had put the Rivermen on the power play. Walker Wintoneak assisted on the tally.

Peoria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Rivermen was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Peoria allows 2.2 goals per game. The Rivermen put 31 shots on net during the contest, more than the 23.4 they average per game.

Others who scored for Peoria included Mark Corbett and Mike Gurtler, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Brandon Greenside, Jack Callahan, Connor P. Toomey, Cody Dion, and Steve Morra, who each chipped in one.

Pensacola was often in penalty trouble, totaling five minors and three majors for 25 minutes in penalty time. The Ice Flyers had been averaging 20.0 minutes in penalties per game. Pensacola was held below its usual level of production. The Ice Flyers put an average of 2.9 pucks into the net per game. The 53 shots that Pensacola put on net surpassed the Ice Flyers' average of 25.2 shots per game this season.

Pensacola was helped by Corey Banfield, who racked up one goal. Banfield scored 3:16 into the second period to make the score 1-1.
