Joshua Ranalli had two goals to lead the Huntsville Havoc to a 4-1 victory over Macon Mayhem. Ranalli found the back of the net 4:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville and again while 19:02 into the first to make the score 2-1 Huntsville.Huntsville was led by goalie Ryan de Melo, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. De Melo certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.35 entering the contest. The Havoc excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The 29 shots that Huntsville put on net surpassed the Havoc's average of 23.7 shots per game this season. Huntsville also had goals scored by Stuart Stefan and Scott Henegar, who each put in one. More assists for Huntsville came via Nick Schneider, who had one and Michael Zannella, John McGinnis, and Bo Driscoll, who each chipped in two. Macon Mayhem was often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and two majors for 22 minutes in penalty time. Macon Mayhem surpassed its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game. With 30 shots on target during the contest, Macon Mayhem exceeded the 20.7 shots it averages per game this year. Macon Mayhem was led by Daniel Gentzler, who scored the team's only goal. Gentzler scored 18:03 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Shawn Skelly picked up the assist. Huntsville totaled 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Macon Mayhem's Curtis Martinu stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced.
