Mississippi RiverKings' Todd Hosmer had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears.

Hosmer scored short handed 19:28 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Mississippi RiverKings. A high sticking call on Matt Harrington put Mississippi RiverKings on the penalty kill. Charles Mosey assisted on the tally. Hosmer dished an assist on Mosey's goal that made the score 2-0 Mississippi RiverKings at 19:45 into the first period. He added another helper on Linden Bahm's goal that made the score 5-2 Mississippi RiverKings at 16:16 into the third period.

Mississippi RiverKings stifled Knoxville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Mississippi RiverKings outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Mississippi RiverKings averages 2.8 goals per contest. Mississippi RiverKings put 31 shots on net during the contest, more than the 22.1 it averages per game.

Mississippi RiverKings also got points from Ryan Marcuz, who also had one goal and one assist, Mosey, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Bahm, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Bret Peppler also scored for Mississippi RiverKings. More assists for Mississippi RiverKings came via Bryan Dallaire, Sam Higgins, and Donald Olivieri, who contributed one each.

With 26 shots on target during the contest, the Ice Bears exceeded the 22.3 shots they average per game this year.

Knoxville was helped by Danny Cesarz, who registered one goal. Cesarz scored 1:02 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Mississippi RiverKings. Dennis Sicard picked up the assist. Knoxville additionally got points from Sicard, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Knoxville also got a goal from Garrett Vermeersch as well. In addition, Knoxville received assists from Corey Fulton, who had two and Jason Price, Corey Hale, and John Clewlow, who each chipped in one.

Garrett Sheehan made 23 saves for Mississippi RiverKings on 26 shots. Mississippi RiverKings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brian Billett recorded 25 saves for the Ice Bears. Knoxville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
