Peoria downs Huntsville, 4-1

Adam Stuart registered one point to lead the Peoria Rivermen to a 4-1 victory over the Huntsville Havoc.

Peoria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Rivermen put 36 shots on net during the contest, more than the 26.2 they average per game. Peoria's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Rivermen finished with 28 penalty minutes.

Peoria additionally got points from Walker Wintoneak, who also had one goal and one assist and Ben Power, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Peoria also got a goal from Terrence Wallin as well. In addition, Peoria received assists from Dave Pszenyczny, Dan Bremner, and Chris Wilson, who contributed one each.

Huntsville stifled Peoria's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Havoc could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 48 minutes in penalties during the game.

Huntsville was led by Will Aide, who took one shot.

The Rivermen's David Jacobson stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Peoria registered zero goals on five power play opportunities. Kevin Genoe made 32 saves for the Havoc on 36 shots. For Huntsville, Jeremy Beirnes was ejected from the game.
