Knoxville rides Hince to victory over Fayetteville, 2-1

Bryan Hince stood on his head and made 29 saves to lead the Knoxville Ice Bears to a 2-1 victory over the Fayetteville FireAntz.

Knoxville was led by Corey Fulton, who finished with one goal. Fulton scored 11:24 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Knoxville. Josh Cousineau assisted on the tally.

Knoxville also got a goal from Dennis Sicard as well. More assists for Knoxville came via Corey Hale and Doug Reid, who each chipped in one.

Fayetteville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The FireAntz were held below their usual level of production. Fayetteville averages 3.1 goals per game.

The FireAntz were led by Kyle Gibbons, who scored the team's only goal. Gibbons scored 6:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fayetteville. Josh McQuade picked up the assist.

The Ice Bears ended with 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors. Parker Van Buskirk made 20 saves for Fayetteville on 22 shots. The FireAntz totaled 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
