Behind a great game by Tayler Thompson, who had one goal and two assists, the Fayetteville FireAntz defeated the Knoxville Ice Bears, 6-3. Thompson got on the board by slotting home a goal 14:17 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Fayetteville. Steven Hoshaw picked up the assist. Thompson dished an assist on Zac Frischmon's goal that made the score 4-1 Fayetteville at 4:06 into the second period. He added another helper on Josh McQuade's goal that made the score 5-2 Fayetteville at 7:52 into the second period.Fayetteville's goal total was higher than its season average. The FireAntz average 3.0 goals per game. Fayetteville also got a goal from Cole Wilson as well.
