The Peoria Rivermen had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over the Huntsville Havoc. Peoria was led by Matt Summers, who registered one goal and one assist. Summers scored 15:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. Steve Morra provided the assist. The Rivermen stifled Huntsville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Peoria's defense was surprisingly good. The Rivermen gives up 2.1 goals on average per game. Peoria put 32 shots on net during the contest, more than the 25.6 it averages per game. Peoria additionally got points from Connor P. Toomey, who also had one goal and one assist. Peoria also got a goal from Alec Hagaman as well. In addition, Peoria received assists from Michael Slowikowski and Brandon Greenside, who contributed one each. The Havoc put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Rivermen to score on any of their four power plays. Huntsville's offense operated below its season average. The Havoc average 3.1 goals per game. Huntsville was led by Jackson Brewer, who took three shots. Francois Brassard rejected 22 shots on goal for Peoria. The Rivermen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jordan Ruby made 29 saves for the Havoc on 31 shots. Huntsville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
