Parker Van Buskirk made 41 saves to complete the shutout and led the Fayetteville FireAntz to a 4-0 win against the Pensacola Ice Flyers.

Fayetteville was led by Zach Carriveau, who grabbed one goal. Carriveau scored 9:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fayetteville. Derek Elliott assisted on the tally.

The FireAntz stifled Pensacola's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Fayetteville's defense was surprisingly good. The FireAntz average 2.3 goals allowed per game.

Fayetteville additionally got points from Josh McQuade, who also had one goal and one assist. Fayetteville also had goals scored by Nick Lazorko and Zac Frischmon, who each put in one. More assists for Fayetteville came via Joseph Manno, Kyle Gibbons, and Joe Tolles, who contributed one each.

The Ice Flyers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Pensacola was held below its usual level of production. The Ice Flyers average 3.1 goals per game. Fayetteville was unable to stop Pensacola from sending pucks towards the net, and the Ice Flyers eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Pensacola was led by Adam Pawlick, who took eight shots.

The FireAntz ended with 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors. Matt Zenzola took the loss and made 13 saves before being replaced by John McLean who made 10 saves. The Ice Flyers totaled 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
