Brad Pawlowski scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and the Knoxville Ice Bears picked up the extra point in a 2-1 (4-3 SO) win over Mississippi RiverKings.

The Ice Bears were led by goalie Bryan Hince, who finished with 38 saves while allowing one goal. Hince certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.87 entering the contest.

Knoxville relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Reid, Todd Hosmer and Corey Hale took 14 of the team's 25 shots.

In addition, Knoxville received assists from Flegel and Trever Hertz, who contributed one each.

Mississippi RiverKings put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Ice Bears to score on any of their six power plays.
