The Huntsville Havoc were firing on all cylinders against the Knoxville Ice Bears, and when the final buzzer sounded Havoc emerged with a 5-1 win. Jason Popek was all over the ice for Huntsville, as he registered two goals in the win. Popek scored at 16:14 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Huntsville and again while 17:09 into the first to make the score 3-0 Huntsville. The Havoc was not heavily penalized during the game, and finished with five minors and three majors totalling 25 minutes.
