Peoria wins tough contest against Louisiana, 3-2

The Peoria Rivermen and the Louisiana IceGators were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Peoria made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Tim Hall at 16:40 of the third period.

Hall had a great game for the Rivermen, netting two goals.

Peoria put 38 shots on net during the contest, more than the 28.2 it averages per game.

Peoria also got a goal from Alec Hagaman as well. More assists for Peoria came via Dan Bremner, who had two and Christian Weidauer, Mike Donnellan, Ben Oskroba, and Kyle Rank, who contributed one each.

Louisiana was led by Dylan Hood, who racked up one goal and one assist. Hood scored 17:57 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Alex Hudson picked up the assist. Stephen Buco also scored for Louisiana.

Kyle Rank made 20 saves for the Rivermen on 22 shots. Peoria totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. The Rivermen ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Luke Sandler was ejected from the game. Adam Courchaine recorded 35 saves for the IceGators. Louisiana incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
