The Pensacola Ice Flyers gutted out a close 3-2 win against the Huntsville Havoc.

Pensacola gained the winning advantage on a goal by David Segal 9:01 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

The Ice Flyers were led by Segal, who had one goal.

Pensacola additionally got points from Nick McParland, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Joe Caveney also scored for Pensacola. In addition, Pensacola received assists from Ryan Kesti, John Clewlow, Paul Rodrigues, and Corey Banfield, who each chipped in one.

Huntsville's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Pensacola power plays.

The Havoc were led by Jason Popek, who racked up one goal and one assist. Popek scored 17:28 into the second period to make the score 2-2. John Lidgett provided the assist. Kevin Genoe rejected 26 shots on goal for Huntsville. The Havoc totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
