Louisiana holds on for 4-2 win against FayettevilleCajundome Sat, Nov 14, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Fayetteville FireAntz tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Louisiana IceGators held on for a 4-2 victory. Louisiana made the score 4-1 on a goal by Dylan Hood at 17:19 in the third period, and Fayetteville got as close as 4-2 when Zach Carriveau scored 18:47 into the third period. Hood was all over the ice for the IceGators, as he finished with two goals in the win. Louisiana stifled the FireAntz's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Louisiana also got points from Jake Hauswirth, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Louisiana also got a goal from Blake Hietala as well. More assists for Louisiana came via Travis Armstrong, Jordan Ciccarello, and Chris Wilson, who each chipped in one. Fayetteville's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Louisiana power plays. Nick Lazorko also scored for Fayetteville. In addition, Fayetteville received assists from Berkley Scott, who had one. The IceGators' Adam Courchaine stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Louisiana incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Sean Bonar made 17 saves for the FireAntz on 21 shots. Fayetteville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
