Peoria downs Louisiana in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Peoria Rivermen's Tim Hall scored 1:14 into overtime to beat the Louisiana IceGators, 5-4 (OT).

Hall had a great game for Peoria, netting two goals.

The Rivermen's goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Peoria averages 2.8 goals per contest. The Rivermen relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Hall, Alec Hagaman and Mike Donnellan took 12 of the team's 20 shots.

Peoria also got points from Adam Stuart, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Peoria came via Michael Slowikowski, who had two, Garrett Vermeersch, who had three, and Christian Weidauer, Brandon Greenside, and Matt Summers, who each chipped in one.

Louisiana was below its usual level of shot production, taking 19 shots compared to the 25.8 the IceGators average.

Louisiana was helped by Jeremy Boyer, who registered one goal and one assist. Boyer scored on the power play 17:49 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Peoria. The IceGators had gained a power play chance when Greenside was whistled for boarding. Anthony Pisano provided the assist. Louisiana additionally got points from Geordie Wudrick, who also had one goal and one assist and Chris Wilson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Louisiana also got a goal from Blake Hietala as well. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Jordan Ciccarello, who had two and Dan Cornell and Jake Hauswirth, who contributed one each.

Kyle Rank rejected 15 shots on goal for Peoria. The Rivermen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jonah Imoo made eight saves before being replaced by Adam Courchaine, who took the otl and made seven saves. Louisiana incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
