Steve Mele registered one point to lead the Huntsville Havoc to a 2-1 victory over Macon Mayhem.

Huntsville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Macon Mayhem to score on any of its four power plays. The Havoc put 36 shots on net during the contest, more than the 25.1 they average per game.

Huntsville also got a goal from John McGinnis as well. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Scott Henegar, who had one.

Macon Mayhem was led by Jesse Felten, who scored the team's only goal. Felten scored 18:58 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Macon Mayhem. Daniel Gentzler picked up the assist.

Kevin Genoe recorded 21 saves for Huntsville. The Havoc totaled 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Macon Mayhem's Garrett Bartus stopped 34 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Macon Mayhem ended with 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors.
