Sean Bonar stood on his head and made 31 saves to lead the Fayetteville FireAntz to a 2-1 victory over the Huntsville Havoc.

Fayetteville was paced by Berkley Scott, who racked up one goal. Scott scored on the power play 18:50 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Fayetteville. The FireAntz had gained a power play chance when Nolan Kaiser was whistled for roughing. Josh McQuade assisted on the tally.

Fayetteville was often in penalty trouble, totaling five minors and four majors for 40 minutes in penalty time. The FireAntz surpassed its season average of 25.0 penalty minutes per game. By firing 34 shots on goal, Fayetteville exceeded the 28.3 shots it averages per game this year.

Fayetteville also got a goal from Shane Lust as well. Other players who recorded assists for Fayetteville were Derek Elliott and Kyle Gibbons, who contributed one each.

Huntsville racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and four majors for 54 minutes in penalty time. The Havoc had been averaging 39.0 minutes in penalties per game. The FireAntz were unable to stop Huntsville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Havoc eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Huntsville was led by John Lidgett, who scored the team's only goal. Lidgett scored 17:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville. Brett Lutes picked up the assist.

Fayetteville registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Kevin Genoe made 32 saves for the Havoc on 34 shots. Huntsville registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. The Havoc ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kaiser was ejected from the game.
