M3-Dordt College beats M3-Colorado Christian University 13-0 as Soodsma gets hat trick

Chris Soodsma netted a hat trick to lead M3-Dordt College over M3-Colorado Christian University, 13-0.

Soodsma notched his first tally 4:53 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:28 into the first and at 5:40 into the third.

M3-Dordt College led 7-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

M3-Dordt College forced M3-Colorado Christian University goalie Collin Tomic to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. M3-Dordt College outdid its season average for goals scored. M3-Dordt College averages 3.3 goals per game. M3-Dordt College capitalized on M3-Colorado Christian University's penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage. The defensemen of M3-Dordt College were also effective in M3-Colorado Christian University's zone, and came away with five goals.
