W2 Rowan University falls apart in second, loses to W2 Montclair State University, 5-1

W2 Montclair State University used a three-goal second period to put away W2 Rowan University, 5-1.

W2 Montclair State University got the win with help from a great game by Alexandra Tepper, who had two goals and two assists. Tepper scored the first of his two goals at 6:32 into the second period to make the score 2-0 W2 Montclair State University. Brittany Meneghin assisted on the tally. Tepper's next tally made the score 5-1 W2 Montclair State University with 5:42 left in the third period. Meneghin picked up the assist.

W2 Montclair State University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow W2 Rowan University to score on any of its four power plays. W2 Rowan University was unable to stop W2 Montclair State University from sending pucks towards the net, and W2 Montclair State University eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The defensemen of W2 Montclair State University were also effective in W2 Rowan University's zone, and came away with four goals.

W2 Montclair State University also got points from Meneghin, who also grabbed two goals and three assists to lead the team in points. Harper Sanderson also scored for W2 Montclair State University. More assists for W2 Montclair State University came via Kawanne Ferguson and Mikhaela Schultz, who each chipped in one.

W2 Montclair State University's Emily Olshefski stopped 22 shots out of the 23 that he faced. W2 Montclair State University incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
